Our history
The history behind Asger Light
From 1975 until today
Asger Light’s lamps are the epitome of an unusually strong passion for GOOD LIGHTING™, and have been since the we started back in 1975.
Since 1975, Asger Light – first under the name Asger BC after our founder – has produced innovative products and lighting solutions, based on in-depth knowledge of and research into light based on the premise of the human eye.
Specifically, the influence of lighting on our general well-being, combined with a long tradition of extraordinary quality, is the basic principle in everything we do at Asger Light. At the same time, it has contributed to that we as a company consistently challenges the perception of what GOOD LIGHTING™ can achieve.
At Asger Light, we are proud of our Danish design tradition. Asger Light are specialists in lighting technology, working environment and lighting, and we continuously strive to create the ideal balance between perfect shape and design, the latest in LED-technology and a timeless and minimalist aesthetic.
At Asger Light we strive to ensure that lighting, design and settings go into a higher unity, where our beautiful and timeless designer lamps will be shown at their fullest advantage.
This is WHY you should choose us!
Since 1975 Asger Light lamps has been synonymous with handmade, Danish designer lamps.
From the very first day, the philosophy has been to give our customers the opportunity to furnish their homes and offices with authentic craftmanship, a beautiful design and elegant Nordic-style lamps. In exactly the same way, it has always been our wish, hope and goal that our simple designs will decorate various places in the most beautiful way, while also creating a cozy atmosphere, promoting well-being and improving lighting wherever people live and work.
Each individual lamp is produced from high-quality materials. The basic principle is still to create lighting based on the conditions of the eye. Therefore, it is never enough that a lamp alone is beautifully designed, it must also have and provide a light that harmonizes with the needs of the human eye.
Asger Light offers a carefully selected selection of unique design lamps, but can offer a product range that spans over 120+ different lamps in 7,000+ different versions. All lamps offered by Asger Light are designed in a characteristic Danish-style, which makes the lamps beautiful and complements the rest of the interior – even when they are switched off. Furthermore, the lamps always have GOOD LIGHTING™ as their absolute starting point: sparkling clear and beautiful.
