Source to Learning

GOOD LIGHTING™ is the most important source to learning

Just imagine, you are taking a walk in the forest in the summer. You are moving alternately between shade and the sun. Each time the brightness around you increases or decreases by several hundred percent. Huge light differences. But your eyes can handle it without any problems – because they are made for it.

Good interior lighting is like a summer day in the forest. Varied, full of contrast and with good color reproduction.

GOOD LIGHTING™ makes us feel comfortable. We calm down. We are better at concentrating. We understand each other.

Who needs these things more than our children? Every day they have to learn something new. About the world, about others, about oneself.

Out of our 5 senses, the sight is the dominant sense.

65% of our brain’s capacity is used by the eyes. The information we receive is sensed through the eyes.

Therefore, it is not good enough for children to be placed under a uniform, flickering, low-color fluorescent light. In such lights one is almost as far from the summer forest as one can get. Poor lighting results in the level of concentration and learning will decrease, while the noise level and restlessness increase.

We can do better. We must do better.

GOOD LIGHTING™ for Asger Light means that light must be shaped and varied where we read, work, the children are playing, so that the level of light is high and the character of light ensures that we do not have to strain ourselves in order to see.

Asger Light uses light sources that are by far the best regarding reproducing colors and creating contrasts so that you can see clearly.

Asger Light’s lamps are installed in approximately 1,000 institutions all over Denmark, in order to optimize learning, to reduce the noise level and thereby increasing the concentration and well-being of both children and adults.
